We saw it last spring, we saw it this fall, and it looks like it’s sticking around for spring 2017! This trend just refuses to get out of fashion — and I’m totally okay with that. I’m referring to fringes, from Rock ‘n’ Roll style fringes to sharp fringe detailing. Designers are giving you plenty of opportunities to express yourself in the form of fringing. This fun detailing adds both drama and femininity to any look, so it is no surprise that fringe was showcased on many runways during recent fashion weeks. From sweaters to evening gowns, pumps to purses, there were versatile uses of tassels on practically every type of garment possible.

What’s so fun about fringes, is that they add dimension and texture in all the right ways. Fringing comes in all lengths and styles, so whether you go short and subtle or long and eccentric – there are many ways to make this trend work for your personal style.

The version of the trend that called my name was this black bomber with pink stars and palm trees AND fringes, which I paired with a simple black flare and (shoes) to let the piece speak for itself. The green details add a sporty and energetic touch. It was so much fun wearing this outfit, purely because the fringes fluttered when I moved. You can also rock fringing in more conservative ways and still look totally on point. For a more subtle touch, consider an accessory such as earrings, boots or a bag. You can’t go wrong with any type fringes this season!
