Hello from the sunny side of the world! As you can probably tell from the title, I’m in the warm and exotic resort called Bali at the moment. Since it’s high summer here, and spring is only starting in Amsterdam, I really had to change my mindset from sweaters and warm coats to shorts and bikini’s.
We’ve been looking forward to this trip for a looong time. Now that we’re here, I really get to relax, have fun and I’m enjoying every moment of it! We love it here!
One of the things that I love doing to relax, is going to the beach and taking in all the sunbeams while sipping a cocktail. Bali is known for its long stretches of white sand beach, the crystal clear sea for swimming, strong waves for surfing and volcanic black sands for sunbathing. How else to go to the beach than according to the latest trend: Boho Chic.
I felt so happy, wearing my floaty dress and summery bag in the exotic Bali-vibe!
Boho as a style is mostly associated with the hippies of the ‘60s and ‘70s. The amazing thing about this style is that it is super comfortable and very flattering. Think of fresh and light colors for summer, relaxed and loose-fit silhouettes, lace, suede, fringes, Cowboy inspired details, soft and draped fabrics. The delicate and detailed patterns or embroideries are my personal faves, especially combined with long floaty dresses. This beautiful dress from Pepe Jeans London with a floral print is perfect to wear to the beach. I dressed the piece down by pairing it with some casual sandals. Accessories are an important part in boho looks, like a floppy or any other wide brimmed hat and a woven beach bag. If there’s one thing that reflects the boho beach trend perfectly, it’s this straw-woven tote bag with pompons from Pepe Jeans London. For a natural and effortless boho-look, the key is to keep my hair and makeup looking as natural as possible.
